Tuesday 27th January Avoided scales
this week ok. Mother in law went to hospital today, she had a fall recently
and the GP was crap, anyway, had x-rays and has not broken anything and
occ therapy are going to the house tomorrow to see what help they can offer
and what they may need. Long day today. Am tired
of feeling cold, I so so want a nice summer this year. J had his parents
evening last night with FANTASTIC feedback from tutors, we very proud of
him and how he is doing. R has her parents eve next week. Have
not got a decent book to read. Nothing I want from the supermarkets. My
ideal fiction is quirky, funny, romantic and ideally involving a fun character
(female) who wants to lose weight and wins! Well, you know, that sort of
thing. I enjoyed reading books mentioned on my diet fiction page. I need
a book I find funny and relaxing and all that. I scoured Amazon but did
not come up with anything.Time for bed it's half past midnight. Oh meant to say, got seen in eye clinic (yep where I work) and turns out I may need laser treatment, am going to get rechecked in 2 to 3 months, unfortunately the diabetic retinopathy has progressed some. Scary but I have to have treatment if they say so. |
Saturday 31st January Went shopping to Heswall in the morning, very cold out.
Got these cute hearts from Sainsburys and hung them in the bedroom....awwwwww... Hopped on the scales this morning, weight the same as
last time. Our work party is postponed for the time being, understandably. |
| Sunday 1st February R had a friend round today, they had a nice time. J and Neil went to rehearsals in Liverpool with J's cousin Chris. Off work tomorrow. Am going to blitz house and do some reading, go on treadmill, put on a face mask that I bought (moisturising)....ermmm.......chill out and so on. It snowed a bit today but nothing stuck, very pretty to look at. Neil is popping up to his mum n dads tonight to help get his mum to bed as she cannot manage the stairs and Neil's dad is struggling to cope. Long long story but they are very reluctant to accept any help, though a PhysioTherapist is visiting the house sometime in the near future (I hope). Neil's mum is still in a lot of pain after her main fall some weeks ago - we are all trying to help as much as we can, but is difficult when Neil's dad says no to most offers of help. Lightened my hair last night - FECK it went a yellowey orange colour. Arghghghghg. The kids thought it funny! ![]() Went out to Tesco this morning for another one, got a golden blonde. Looks better, not wuite sure what colour it is exactly, sort of dark blonde. Haye the length hate the colour - Hmmmm...maybe I should let it grow and leave the colout alone for the time being - or better still if I have got to have a change of colour, go to the hairdressers. |
