My aim this week is to do the Walk Away the Pounds (Leslie Sansone) dvd each evening and get R to join in as often as I can too. R has the MEND class tonight which we are both enjoying going to. R loves the exercise part too which is great.

I need some aims some goals. R and I are aiming (yes again) to go to the gym after school on Wednesday. I would like to go back there. This week I am going to be more relaced (well I'll try). I have decided that if I can lose 10 lbs I am going to treat myself to a facial at the gym (in their beauty salon), also being NHS staff means I get a 25% discount.

Caught the busto Heswall and wandered round the shops. Went in Ethels as they have a sale on, ok shop for cheapy stuff. Got R a pile of t-shirts for the summer and a few other bits n bobs. Called in cafe for a latte (ok and ham and cream cheese sandwich which was v nice - that's my lunch!)
Am freezing cold arghghghghghg. Got J's Lord Byron book from bookshop, ready for his exam. Judith came round for a coffee which was really nice, I had txed her from the bus in the hope that she might pop round and she did.

Just about to set off to school to get R. I also just did a mile of the Walk Away The Pounds dvd. ALSO I have joined a challenge with Danna on IVillage boards (Walk Away The Pounds Board) to do 30 minutes of the treadmill each evening - starting tonight!
R and I are walking to the school (about 1 and a half to 2 miles) after we call home to get her changed for MEND.

Did a lot of walking yesterday. THOUGH was a bit BAD cos we went out for tea after MEND. I was so tired and not in mood for cooking and it was pay day.
Had the yummiest meal out, me and Neil and the kids. Am not going to list all I ate, I am just going to say it was NICE.

Just about managed treadmill yesterday, I gotta aim for that 30 minutes a day. R said she wants to do the Walk Away The Pounds dvd mile in a bit (is 7pm now). Time goes by so fast. Work was nice today, it was a good day.

MAnaged to get my 30 mins done on treadmill again today and also did a one mile walk (WATP's dvd), feel quite pleased with myself. Overate a little in the evening, well, I suppose?
Bfast - POrridge and skim milk
Lunch - Phili light and tomato sandwich, a cup-a-soup and a small apple
Tea - Stir fry veg and pork and 1 slice granary bread
Eve - 5 (ok yes 5, so what) pink n whites and 2 slices granary bread - gotta cut this bread out...and the pink n whotes, though they were nice, but sickly afterwards as too sugary.

Morning in work ok, looked out of windows at the sunshine!
Love the warmer weather but am now worrying cos have no nice clothes to wear or any decent footwear. All I have is one black pair of shoes (work and everyday, go with very little), 2 pairs of boots and an old pair of sandals (granny type) in the attic somewhere oh and a pair of line dance shoes not suitable for anything other than line dancing.
OMG I hate buying shoes. Can't buy cheap and cheerful ones as they hurt my feet (having arthritis is crappy). Decent comfy trendy ones cost the earth (granny sandals cost £45) I sooooooooooooooooo need some new footwear. Mum said have a look at the Flyflot range (comfy and nice). I think I'll have to treat myself to some, at least a pair of pretty sandal type ones that can go with anything and a everyday pair that are nice and can go with anything.

Damn the £15 red sandals have sold out.

Don't really want to buy shoes online, might have to go look around some shops at the weekend. I have had Hotter shoes in the past (cost around £40+) and they do last (granny sandlas are from there several years ago)...by granny I mean they are tan and urghghghghg can't stand the sight of them now but saying that they are comfy and will do for the hols in Scotland.

I want some pretty shoes, am tired of wearing these flat black ones.

Trouble is there is always something we need to buy
Eg - I have no summer coat/jacket...all I have is a long black coat (am really hating BLACK at the moment)
R needs a new school coat, new school shoes and new trainers and AND some pretty shoes for the summer.
J needs new school shoes and new trainers (his last ones cost £65 (he paid for them) cos he HAS to have Vans or ones from Shu in Liverpool or somewhere like that. We all need SHOES!!!!!!

J, R and I just had a nice eve meal....lean meatballs with lots of tomatoes (pureed), pepper and wholewheat spagetti and we had some low fat custard. When R got in from school she had grapes, banana and apple. Am just going to get R to do a mile or two in the WATP dvd with me. I am going dancing tonight but don't know if I will do one hour or two? Also I have got to try and do my 30 minutes on the treadmill later (MEGA PHEW).

R did not want to do the 1 mile walk, so I didn't make her, she has been doing so well. I did the mile walk and the 30 minutes treadmill AND I am going line dancing in half an hour. Now all I have to do is make sure I don't come home from dancing and raid the fridge/cupboards for late night snacks.There's always the very low cal celery?

Thur 24th April Nice day in work. R and I went to the MEND programme.
Managed to go on treadmill this morning for a fast 15 minute walk and I really need to do some tonight too - not sure if I am too tired though? And it's now 20 minutes to 11. Maybe I'll get up earlier in the morning and make sure I do half an hour then - though tomorrow I have to be out of the house for 7.30a, as I have a blood test before work at 7.40am Arghghghghg
Could do with a few more hours in the day sometimes

Sat 26th April

 

 

Did 2 hours dancing last night. Also did 1 mile walk away the lbs dvd. Meant to do 30 minutes on treadmill but ean out of time and energy!
R and I are going to the gym today, we are being picked up by Sue. R and I will also go in the pool. Hope my swimming costume still fits!!
YEAH - R and I did half an hour cardio (10 minutes on each machine) and went round the resistence machines (15 reps on each) and then we went in the pool for and hour and a half. YIPPPPEEEEEEEE
It was great going back to the hym (thank you to Sue for the lift). We went in the cafe agterwards and had a wholemeal ham and tomato sandwich which was nice, though R moaned a bit cos she wanted white bread (we are trying to avoid white bread).

Sunday 27th April 2008

Not sure what we are doing today. J is out all day at a friends big birthday party. R is still fast asleep (10am). And it is raining out, though not cold. R and I said we would go to the gym again today even if only to go in the pool.
I would like to get out though, go somewhere nice for a few hours but where?

R and I went to the gym but just went in the pool, we stayed there for 2 hours and had a great time. R is doing really well with her food and the exercise.

R and I did a mile of the Walk Away The Pounds dvd (Leslie Sansone) and then later I also did 30 minutes on the treadmill (at 3.5). I feel happy with the amount of exercise I have done today....I know I still have to work on my food though.
