Monday 11th Feb to Sunday 17th Feb 2008

Monday 11th Feb
Didn't get weighed, will do tomorrow.
Me, in the hall - (things you do when you got nothing to do!)
And would the kids go for a walk with me? NO, lazy things. So what did we do? Watched Shrek The Third (now my day is almost over and it's back to work tomorrow - thought I'd have a moan)
Did 15 minutes on treadmill (cos I was bored). R wants me to make a chocolate cake with her and despite having a 'lazy' day - am in stressed mode.

Hi - it's Tue Feb 12th 2008
Today was a good day in work, I really quite enjoyed it. R and I blew up the Gym Ball (from Tesco). Have you ever tried to balance on one of those gym balls?
We now have this BIG pink bouncey rubber ball thingie that you are somehow meant to so exercises on? I mean, how do you stay on it? Lying on your back on it and trying to STAY on it whilst attempting to do ab-crunches is IMPOSSIBLE.
There are bigger balls at the gym of course - our 'value tesco' pink ball is I would say half the size of the gym balls. We had to pump it up manually and it took AGES and then we worried that we were blowing it up too much!!!! I have never laughed so much.
Just as well we don't have Blacks - she would have certainly made it go BANG! I miss Blacks.

Thur 14th Feb

What have I done today? Work
Plumber been and fixed all leaks in kitchen (yippeee) and did not cost a fortune
Got Neil a card and some choccy for Valentines Day
Feeling FAT AND BLOATED as per usual
Did 2 hours dancing last night which I really really enjoyed
Not long now till I go to see Rachel in Kentucky - I keep checking my passport to make sure it has not run out - does not run out till 2012
Stayed the same weight this week (damn)
Friday 15th February 2008 Work was fine. Had to get a covering letter from my GP for my up and coming trip to America. Just to say that YES I am diabetic and it requires me to have my insulin on me and testing stuff (blood sugar).
Dancing is cancelled for tonight as the dance teacher is not very well. I hope she feels better soon, she is such a lovely person.
J has gone to Liverpool to band practise with the current group he is in called To Be Concluded.
Am officially a size 16 (as per the clothes I tried on in a shop earlier) - am not very happy about this at all. Plus not all 16's fit and even have to get 18's and 20's. Wish I could feel happier about how I look - but I don't. Wish I could stop spending MOST every day feeling I look very FAT and ugly etc.
Sometimes I feel good about say my hair - though not all that often. Sometimes I feel good about my skin (ie few wrinkles) other times I look in the mirror and cringe at all the wrinkles. Which is silly, really silly.
If you added up how often I HATE the way I look (despite all the pics I tend to take of myself) - then this would add up to A LOT of time. I take tons of pics of myself and scrutinise them for how many wrinkles I have or how FAT I look. I tend to avoid full body pics as I cannot hide the fact I am BIGGER than I want to be.
Silly, really silly, wasting all this time not liking how I look, day in day out.

Sat 16th Feb 2008

Bottom half of the kitchen so far. Still lots to do it in (eg the other half-painting-flooring-windows-light-one of the sockets etc etc) - but we are getting there!!!!
R has the opticians today - other than that and house stuff, we have no plans.
Yet again R and I WILL go to the gym tomorrow (see I said tomorrow!)

My sisters boy (my nephew) is joining the Army (wants to be a Communicaltions Officer), he has gone through the tests and medical and been accepted - he is waiting to hear when he will go for training. He is 18 on the 26th Feb. I am so glad he is going to be doing something he REALLY wants to do, he is a great lad, very sensible (well as sensible as a teenager can be!). We don't see him that often (lads are always out or in their rooms). I am pleased for him but obviously everyone will be anxious when he gets posted - I must admit I know very little about how it all works - timeline of training etc etc. He's going to be doing his training at Litchfield.

Pic of R and I earlier today - she is almost as tall as me!!!!
Pic of R's hair which I think is gorgeous, though she hates getting it combed!

 Sunday 17th Feb 2008

Had a lazy lie in this morning - didn't get up till 10.30am. Neil said he popped out to the car at 9.30am and had to scrape ice off it. R and I went on the treadmill in the afternoon, then she said she wanted to help me prepare dinner. So the two of us made a roast dinner and stewed apple for dessert. Then we persuaded Neil and J to come for a walk. Well, we hopped in the car actually and went to Parkgate which was very busy. We had a nice walk from one end to the other and chatted and laughed - it was nice, we should do that sort of thing more often.
