Well, I stayed the same weight, disappointing but what I thought would happen as Xmas food still catching up with me.
J an I went to Liverpool (as he is not in school till tomorrow). What started out as a quick shopping trip so he could get a hoody turned into me spending LOADS on him and no I have NO money left till pay day at the end of the month! Arghghghghgh

R and I ARE going to the gym as soon as I have drunk this cup of tea and warmed up (as J and I have just got back from Liverpool and it was so cold and damp expecially when we were waiting for the bus home.

I have tooth ache, well gum ache to be exact, hope it goes away as cannot face going to the dentist (neither can I afford it)

We are only going to spend an hour in the gym but is a good start. We will go on Wed and Friday and hopefully at the weekend too. So here we go!

Bought myself this book today, yes I know YET another diet type book, but liked the sound of it and hoping it may motivate me.

R and I did an hour in the gym and now that we have finally got back to going, well, it's great. I am glad we made the effort.
Spemt the evening watching My Family (UK series that is so so funny) as Neil bought the box set, there's loads for us to work our way through.

It's 1045pm and am v tired (work tomorrow). J is also back in school tomorrow - R's 1st day back in school went well I am pleased ro say.

Slowly but surely improve eating habits (mine and the rest of the family)
Slowly but surely do more exercise (all of us)
Make effort to relax more (all of us) and have more fun together as a family
Make effort not to get stressed over the small things (all of us)


OTHER STUFF


Neil and I to make effort to go out just the 2 of us more often than just on our birthdays
Make effort to do more things as a family other than watching TV

LESS IMPORTANT STUFF

Make effort to keep on top of tidying house/garden/front etc
Make effort to cut down debts (ok fairly important)
Make effort to finish all decorating/half done projects in house

SIMPLE PLAN

(as taken from Diet Dr's Inside and Out book recently bought from Sainsburys

Rules to follow for weeks 1 to 4

1. Eat 3 meals a day and 2 healthy snacks each day. Have a little protein at each meal and snack
2. Eat more fruit and vegetables, building up to 5 portions a day
3. Eat no more than 1 portion of high fat/high sugar food a day
4. Get rid or portion distortion
5. Start drinking water
6. Take a break from alcohol
7. Do daily stretching routine (as pages 60-61)
8. Aim to walk 10,000 steps per day
9. Weight and measure yourself at start of each week
10. Keep a food and mood diary


Nah! Now I am planning on following the rules and reading the book and hopefully getting somewhere with my diet and exercise so I can actually start to lose weight and regularly till I am where I want to be.

So how have I done today.?

I have had 3 meals today, no snacks as such so far as of 6pm. I have eaten as follows
Breakfast - Branflakes and skim milk
Lunch - Cheese and onion sandwich - a slim soup and a packet of low fat crisps
Anoon - 1 toffee sweet
Tea - Beef stew (homemade - carrots, onion, potatoe and beef and gravy granules) and 2 clementines

So I have had 3 portions fruit and veg. I had a smal portion of cereal at breakfast though did have 2nd's at tea (2 bowls of stew) which was not absolutely necessary as was not that hungry. Anyway............ny high far/high sugar foods was the crisps and ok the one chocolate sweet (not bad at all for me!)

I am not going to write down here EVERY day. I am going to get myself a little notebook and do it in that (as reading the ins and outs of it all here will be boeing for people. But I will report on how I am doing.

Later I am going to do 100 steps on the treadmill and X that by 100 to see on average how long I have to do on the treadmill to get in my 10,000 steos a day. It cab be broken up, but am aiming for 10,000 a day. Might get a decent pedometer but is perhaps a waste of £££££ when do not have said £££ at moment. Have not really drunk any water today - must get into the habit of this.

Well, I gotta have some sort of plan otherwise I will never lose the weight I want to lose will I.

How my stomach looks at the moment!

 

What I should be doing but am actually avoiding/ignoring right now (2pm)

 

I did not do well at all last night. I decided to have one last splurge (yep , again) and had 3 cad creme eggs (and must say NO I did not enjoy the 2nd and 3rd ones at all). Then a sandwich all whilst watching tv. Then felt tired and went to bed. I did work out that I need to do a minimum of 1 hour on the treadmill and around 3.5 to get my 10,000 steps in

R and I are going to the gym later (after she is home from school AND I am also going to do 2 hours dancing tonight (dance class is starting up again tonight).

I have an hour (it is 2pm) till I have to walk to school to get R, then we walk home (is 15 mins one way), have a brief drink and get changed and Neil's dad is running us to near the gym (not all the way - we walk the rest) Normally R and I would catch a bus but I forgot to get change for the bus and they will not take notes and ok I admit it, I do not feel like walking up to the village to a shop to get change. What with work since 8am and all, enough is enough!
Am looking forward to gym later.....let's see if it is as hard today!!!!!! OMG my legs were aching just doing the rower.

Yes I know I should be cleaning the house right now and tidying....but I just cannot muster up the energy to do it right now and am going to plonk myself on the couch instead and read my Diet Doctors book!

Thur 10th Jan 2008 Work was blah. Not so good with food today, but am in a 'don't care mood'. Have not exercised today - too tired really. Still suffering from toothache/gum ache and gearing myself up to trying to make a dentist appointment.
My skin is dry/spottyish and hair is a naff colour and am not feeeling particularly good about myself. Feel as though I need an 'overhaul'. Wish I could be pampered (but don't have the ££). Feel generally fed upish/fed up/washed out/blah.
Fri 11th Jan 2008 Came home from work early in the afternoon - feel sick
Sat 12th January 2008 Don't feel as yuck as yesterday but have not really done much of anything today except watch tv. J has a load of lads and girls round (noise) and R is playing clarinet!
Wish I could go to the gym but am totally not up to that today, maybe tomorrow?

Here I am! And here we are, another day.
