Monday 17th Dec

The Eye Department Christmas party went well. I was a bit nervous about being a bear in the mini play and managed to forget one of my lines (I had 4 lines to remember!)....but it was fun. The Consultants appeared to really enjoy it and laughed a lot (and had a dance in the middle of it to TeddyBears Picnic) - the play was Goldilocks and the Three Consultants.
It was a nice evening. I wore my green dress and tried not to cringe when seeing myself in mirror in the ladies changing/bathroom! Nah, actually I felt really comfy in the dress. No pics of me (as I was taking pics) but I shall take a pic of me and the dress later. Am going to wear the dress on Christmas Day.

R and I spent the weekend in mum and dads. R slept in my sisters on Sat night so I stayed in mum and dads on my own and had an early night with a pile of magazines from mum. Had a nice lie in Sunday morning then Neil and J came for us about lunchtime

Am starting to feel a little christmassy now! Neil and I are off schopping today. Am in work rest of the week and going out for a meal Thur night with people from our office (there's 7 of us going).

Managed to get this as a still shot from my camera (it was taken as a short movie). I am the bear on the far left (1st bear in line) - not that you can tell it's me of course!) I was holding up a mask of the face of one of the consultants.

All of us last night
Me in that dress (the one I wore for the Xmas Party.

Friday 21st December

Phew work over and done till next Thursday.
Have been feeling a bit yucky, aches and pains mostly and generally not 100%. Managed to go out for a meal with work last night and I did enjoy it - it was relaxing and a nice meal. I always really enjoy going out with people from the Orthoptic Office and I am glad we seem to do it fairly often.

Still got a lot of Xmas shopping to do, hope I am feeling more like it tomorrow morning. At the moment I am so tired and feel sick (but this not helped by just eating quite a few mini chocolate eclairs!)

I am going to do my best to eat sensibly this Christmas - starting now - ermmm...ok tomorrow! Should go on treadmill but honestly I feel quite sick. I don't think it's just the chocolate eclair thingies, been feeling crappy all day and yesterday, got a teeney weeney headache too. Am looking for a tasty yet easy recipe for Nut ROAST FOR xMAS DINNER FOR ME, SO IF ANYONE KNOWS A REALLY NICE ONE COULD THEY PLEASE EMAIL IT TO ME

Arghgh I have a headache and feel crappy. Don't feel like doing anything (eg wrapping pressies or tidying house in anticipation of parents popping here tomorrow etc). Mum and dad usually pop here (yep for about an hour) on Christmas Eve evening. They only visit on birthdays (the kids not mine or Neils) and Christmas -flying visits I call them. I am SO not going to be like that with J and R when they grow up. Mum said today (on phone) that they will pop here tomorrow (not Christmas Eve). I don't mind. I know she is working a lot over Christmas. My sisters never ever visit, EVER. They used to, years ago when the kids were little. I cannot remember the last time any of my sisters came here (I have 3 sisters, all younger). They never ever telephone me either, well, maybe once in a blue moon. Families eh.

Not been thinking about dieting really. Can't quite be bothered. Must get back to the gym though, yes, I think that will do me good, make me feel so much better.

A Christmas Thought

Do you know what would have happened

If it had been Three Wise Women

Instead of Three Wise Men?

They would have asked directions,

Arrived on time,

Helped deliver the baby,

Cleaned the stable,

Made a casserole,

Brought practical gifts and

There WOULD be Peace On Earth
