Tuesday 15th May

 

Not in the mood for anything. Can't motivate myself to do anything.

Went to the supermarket last night for a few things. Bought a small quiche, really wanted a quiche. At least it was a small one, but a lot of calories in it - 517. And of course I ate it all. Quite nice too, a cheese and onion one.

Trying to be good on diet. Too knackered to do any real exercise, and totally not in the mood anyway. Will walk halfway to work Wed/Thur and Fri and may even walk all way home on Friday - we shall see.

Wednesday 16th May 2007

Too wet and rainy to walk to work. I quite like the rain when it is not freezing cold, but who wants to get soaking wet before starting work. No I am not just making excuses!

Thursday 17th May

I'm trying, I am really trying my best to stick to a healthy eating plan. And I am promising myself I am not going to feel like a failure when I eat something I didn't really plan to.

I have not really done any exercise this week but maybe I will get the step out later and try and do at least half and hour. Did not walk halfway to work this morning as running too late, I will make an effort in the morning to walk halfway though.

I saw the dietician today and she said the Dr said I can go on Reductil. So they faxed a prescription to my GP and I start as soon as I can pick it up. It is an appetite suppressent. I have to take one a day. If you have not lost 5% of your body weight in the first 3 months then you do get taken off it, because of the cost, it is very expensive apparently.

ooooooohhhh I could just go to sleep! But I am going dancing in about half an hour or so (it's my 2 hour dance class 8-10pm, I get picked up at 20 to 8.

I got the Reductil off the Dr's today - already had one! (Well one tablet anyway). I am to take one a day at breakfast. Ok 5pm is a little late but I just had to have one, you know, get started!!!!!

Had a very healthy tea, not particularly hungry. I had
Cottage cheese, celery, orange pepper, tomatoe and beetroot and then a banana. I am just in a salad mood at the moment (had a chicken salad for lunch with some ryvitas).

NO WINE tonight and I most definately can't cos we have none in (little complaint from Neil here)! (sorry Neil)

Went dancing. I really enjoyed it but I did feel a little light headed during the first hour (I had read on the internet that when you first go on Reductil you can get a bit light headed. Perhaps starting it today before dancing was not such a good idea?

Blood sugars have been really good lately. My HBA1c has gone to 7.9 and I am hoping it is even lower next time.....am very pleased with this as pre DAFNE it was always above 10 and 11.

Well, time for a nice cup of tea, though it is late and really I should go to bed (it's 11pm) but am still wide awake after the dancing! Hopefully I'll sleep well tonight.

 

Saturday 19th May

 

 

 

 

Took the Reductil this morning, felt a little light headed again a few hours later, then decided to lie down, slept for ages (unfortunately, so will not be able to sleep later). Neil took the kids out to play tennis, wish I had had the energy to go. Have eaten sensibly today and have not felt hungry, don't know if this is the tablets working? In the evenings though I know I will miss 'snacking' 'picking'. I like munching on snacks, I do find it relaxing especially while watching tv.I really shouldn't eat later and will try not to. Though if I have to I can have fruit (not brill at 11pm at night though!) I have to get out pf this thinking that I need to eat late at night in front of the tv, I have to stop thinking that this is my only way of relaxing.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. No wine in, shouldn't have any snacky things ohhhhhhhhhhhh....not fair.
We have some crisps in (french fries and quavers) and we have fruit in and FAB lolly ices in the freezer!!!!
Some chocolate would be nice! (We have none in)

I will just settle for a nice cup of tea ok!

 

Sunday 20th May

I was very good last night and all I had was a few cups of tea. It is nice and sunny out so far. No plans for today as such. I did just draw up a list of jobs that need doing round the house and said to the kids that they can get paid (yes bribery) for certain jobs they complete)...well it's worth a try!!!

J did NOTHING so am very cross about that. I cut the hedges and R helped me brush it all up, then her and I washed the car, then she surprised me and tidied up her bedroom. She did loads. Neil did some tidying up in the front too., clearing the weeds and then he put all the stuff we brushed up into bags.

11pm - I did have 3 slices of toast tonight (3 small slices). Wasn't particularly hungry as such, just felt like some tea and toast. Neil gets paid tomorrow so we can do a nice big healthy shop and I am going to try and plan some meals for the week.
