Monday 5th Feb

Blackie's new climbing frame

Here's hoping I have lost at least a lb.

Did not step on scales - too scared! Actually by the time I had drunk several cups of tea I felt I was too full of liquid to weigh myself, so will get weighed in the morning, I promise!

Have been ok on diet so far today. I had a chicken and veg soup for lunch. Funnily enough I am not craving bread as I thought I would be. I have not even missed hot buttered toast Mmmmmmmm......... I have decided that I should do low carb (not NO carb). In the past I have eaten far too many carbs and I think it is better to have less, though eat more fruit and veg and less (or no) processed foods.

The MCR (My Chemical Romance) tickets came the other day - yippeeeeee. One for me, one for Jonathan and one for Neil. We go on March 22nd to Birmingham. I am sooooooo looking forward to going.

We bought Blackie a new climbing frame (felt she deserved one cos she can't go out with having the feline leukeamia virus). She has had a little go at it. Wasn't a bad price either (at just over £23 including p+p) from Zoo Plus web site. They have all manner of cat and dog and other animal toys and allsorts.

Not sure what to have for tea tonight, better go and see what is in the fridge.

In the end I had bacon, peppers, egg and onion stir fry. Blackie had been asleep most of the afternoon and when she woke up OMG her eyes looked awful. I thought she was screwing her eyes up a bit this morning. Well, they were runny and very sore looking - obviously an eye infection. Poor little thing. How can her eyes have got like that so quickly? Rang the vet, we are to take her there tomorrow afternoon. She has barely eaten today.

I had 2 small slices of cake (sponge Angel cake), I just had to oh and a 90 calorie cereal bar (11.9 carbs). We are worried about Blackie.

 Tuesday 6th Feb 2007

Weight - 10 st 6 lbs (146 lbs)
Stayed the same
Lbs to lose - about 26

Stayed the same weight this week, I was disapointed.

I did an hours aerobics with Judith and Sue this morning. For breakfast I did have 4 small slices of toast (40 carbs) and for lunch I had pepper, onion, mushroom and tomatoe stir fry with 3 eggs - it was so yummy, oh and I had an apple. I think what let me NOT lose weight this last week is the wine I had (on 3 evenings), that pizza and any other nibbles I forgot about (ermmm...the chocolate mainly)

Well, whatever - onwards and onwards, gotta keep trying. For tea tonight am having roasted squash, leek and chicken soup.

Blackie is to go to the vets at 5.20pm, we are not looking forward to trying to get her in her cat basket, Neil had loads of scratches last time. Actually her eye looks better this morning, a teeney bit gooky but not as bad as yesterday.

Blackie got the all clear from the vets, he said he could see she had some red eye but it was ok, phew thank goodness. She came back and would not come near me for an hour (I was the horrid one who forced her in the cat basket.

Ate another cereal bar (why???) I really felt like something sweet, should've just had an apple or banana.

Snow outside early this morning about 7.30am. Rhi and I walked to school in the snow, it was lovely actually (and the sun was shining) everywhere looked white and clean and pretty. Most of the snow has gone now (9pm), I wonder if there is anymore to come?

 Wednesday 7th Feb 2007

Apparently we're going to get a load of snow tonight/tomorrow?

Am supposed to be going dancing tonight, feel a bit bloated from all the veggies I ate at tea time. SO far I have been good today, but I have been craving sweet things (ie chocolate and cakes and biscuits). I just want to have a NICE big self indulgant binge later, really I do. I will try not to.

Am wearing my wannabe t-shirt for dancing, Jonathan says I am not to wear it when he is around!!! Does he mean I embarrass him? (see pic on left!) Am wearing black trousers, pity my tummy is so flabby and big otherwise I would feel I looked you know, not fat. But each time I look in the mirror all I see is roundness Arghghghghghghghghghghg. I look a bit like a ball on legs sometimes. Neil took a full length pic, amd here I am breathing it all in as best I can. I look much rounder sideways unfortunately.

 Friday 9th Feb

Snowing again, very like sleet, not enough to be able to make a snowman. I would've liked to make a snowman with the kids.

No dancing tonight it has been cancelled because of the weather. Ah well, will have a few glasses of wine instead.

Am dyeing my hair dark brown, at least I hope that it comes out that colour and not a wishy washy colour. Most people say they prefer it blonde, that I look better with it blonde, but I do like to change it every now and then. I have gone off having it a red colour. Neil and Jonathan said why don't I dye it black, but I would imagine that would look awful on me (if was I 20 years younger I would've dyed it black.

Have been ok on diet today, sort of. Had porridge for brekky. Salad and fruit and yog for lunch. Ok, I forgot, we had tea out. It was too cold to come home and cook! I had bacon, egg,, tomato, baked beans and some chips (fries)...bit fattening I know but still..... oh and Neil and I shared some chocolate on the way home in the car. And yeah, we;re gonna have some wine tonight - only the one night mind you, see, we can be good!!!!!

New hair colour. MMmmmm not sure how I like it?

 Saturday 10th Feb

Symingtons Dandelion Coffee Compound is prepared by a unique process from specially cultivated dandelion root, dried and roasted in the traditional way and extracted without chemicals, thus retaining all its natural value. It is especially suitable for delicate digestions and, being caffeine free, makes a perfect nightcap.
Caffeine Free, Gluten Free, Wheat Free, Yeast Free

Urghghghg am not drinking that much wine ever again.
Neil, Rhi and I went round Heswall for a few hours, and very naughtily went in 2 cafes (not at the same time of course!). We went to a pretty one called the Orange Tree and I had a huge latte covered in thick cream and a toasted bacon bagel. Mmmm. Then we wandered round shops (though there's not many there) and then we went to a coffee shop and Neil and I shared a sausage and bacon pannini. Very fattening I know.

The 4th one along is the Orange Tree cafe Heswall

I was good though, I bought Gillian Mckeith's You Are What You Eat paperback (£4.99 off Woolworths) oh and I got some really nice dandelion coffee (caffeine free) from the health food shop. I took a chance cos I have not had it before and have just had a cup of it, it tastes really nice - sort of like coffee but somehow different, a nice taste. I also got some chromiu picolate tablets since I read this can aid weight loss apparently!

 Sunday 11th February 2007

Had a headache all day. Ate ok, though was tempted to ask Neil to get me chocolate from the shop earlier but didn't.

Felt slightly thinner today but I know I will probably feel aftter in the morning right before I stand on the scales!
