Monday 15th June to Sunday 21st June 20009

Monday 15th June

Today I will

1. Stick to the plan

2. Exercise

3. Relax

Sunny out today

Really lovely pic of J and J in the garden yesterday.
J and J again

With my hair extensions in and without them in! (taken same day - yesterday)

8am - J has gone to college about half an hour ago, Neil had gone to work. R is having a bit of a lie in, they are allowed to go into school later today - they have to be in by 11am. She had a FANTASTIC time at Oaklands and didn't stop talking about it for 2 hours non-stop last night.

She said they did allsorts of things. She enjoyed the abseilling and the night walk (blindfolded and guided by each other and a rope). They dived into pools and did gorge walking (throught the river). They did canoeing. I am so glad she had such a great time.

10.35am - time for a coffee I think, then on with the housework (already got the washing machine on).Walked R to school at 9.30am, was so sunny out, we met one of her friends and his mum on the way and walked with them.

Judith brought round 2/3 tubs of Herbalife (much much too expensive to buy even on Ebay, no way I am paying that sort of price for powdered so called food). Ok, it is a bit out of date (hmmmmmmm.......2 years) but hey it's dried powder sealed in a tub - how off can it go? Thought it might taste better than Slim Fast (have had it before years ago). It is less sweet but much grainier and not as thick as Slim Fast. So had Slim Fast for breakky and a Vanilla Herbalife for lunch. I still can't help thinking that for all the cals each shake is (around 217 for SF and H) that I could have decent food - but what the heck, I said I'd give it a try and see how I go. Having a shake while other people (in work) are eating real food is hard and they look at you like you're stupid (or with pity)......I mean, is it a sane thing to be doing? But if it helps kick start me, then yep, I'll do it for the time being or as long as I can manage. What makes me cross really is all those people out there (eg selling stuff like Herbalife, the 'hard sell people') who are making a fortune out of people's desperation to lose some lbs (not £ pounds).

As you can see I swing this way and that on my views about 'diet shakes'. Should be doing good old fashioned healthy eating and exercise. Why is healthier eating and exercise so much harder now than it was say 50 years ago? More choice and convenience make it harder now and the fact that healthier foods are SO MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE.

We should grow our own shouldn't we. I remember my dad used to grow potatos, tomatoes and onions etc.

Off to get R shortly - how the day has flown by

Almost 11.30pm. Managed 45 minutes on the Wii Fit and using the Wii game Your Training Coach. Unfortunately felt hypo later and had to eat (bugger), must remember to adjust insulin when I am going to do exercise.

In work tomorrow as per usual and plan to walk there as long as the weather is ok.

J had to go to the Walk In Centre to have a cut/scrape dressed (he tripped and fell at college). They said he has to go back on Wed to have it checked and redressed. First I knew anything about it was when he phoned to say he was making his way to the hospital (he was on the bus). Apparently he'd been at the hospital earlier (he went there with his girlfriend J as she has to have a dressing put on her back cos she had an accident in work (she works in a coffee shop) and got scalded. So after college J went with her so she could get her dressing re-done - this was after he had fallen at college and the nurse who saw J (girlfriend) said he ought to be looked at too. But first he saw J home via a bus ride then caught the bus BACK to the hospital where Neil managed to catch him after he had been seen and was heading for home. PHEW.Am going to try and get to sleep now

 Tuesday 16th June

Sunny day, v hot in work

Work was fine and I DID walk to work, which was nice. I had a Herbalife for breakky and lunch but was so hungry by lunchtime, I had to buy small cottage cheese salad from the hospital shop. Think I might mix the Sfast and Herbalife together tomorrow! Something to look forward to!

11.30pm - I did 30 minutes on the Wii Fit tonight which was quite good fun though some of the yoga poses are difficult. I did end up eating 2 pacs of snack-a-jacks (silly me) but on the whole I guess today was ok food wise.Time to get some sleep

 Wed 17th June

Did meditation on the Wii Fit last night!!!

Did v good on diet today! Slurped my shakes at breakky and lunch - how lucky am I?!

Am going to do the Wii Fit in the morning 7am....am going to do 30 minutes step.

The sort of dress I want to wear to our Xmas party this year!

Work was ok, same old thing! Am (I think) going to Manchester (a work thing) on Sat 27th to the Royal Eye Hospital for the day. Will have to catch early train.

Did 20 minutes on the Wii Fit this morning at 7.30am (did the step). Did not walk to work as sky was too grey.
Had slim fast for breakfast and lunch and also had an apple at lunchtime (made me feel better). Grabbed the last bag of snack-a-jacks when I got in from work at 5.15pm but have no idea what to have for tea????? Am trying my best to be good with food really I am. Might have a cottage cheese salad for tea? Dunno, on the other hand something hot would be nice.

I am going dancing tonight and aiming to walk to work tomorrow if weather ok, otherwise will get life from Elaine. If I don't walk there I will do 20 minutes again on the WiiFit (I always have more energy in the morning than in the evenings)

Well done to Chris (nephew age just 21) for getting through 7 or 8 episodes or whatever you call them (rounds?) of Countdown. He has been to Manchester and been filmed doing Countdown, it will be shown early September I think, then he will have to go along and film semi-finals (I think, not too sure). Anyway WELL DONE.

Do you think the ponytail looks odd????? Of course it's the hair extensions. The colour is not wuite matching but I daren't lighten my hair as it may fall out (it is SO over processed)
Well, I did go dancing for 2 hours and had a great time. I think it is time to try and get to sleep now as it's 15 minutes past midnight and of course I have work tomorrow

Neil (bless him) is snoring away fast asleep in bed. He was working from home today well no to be honest it was a day off but he had to do some work after all.
J went to the hospital and had his arm re-dressed. He had a dressing/bandage almost on the whole of his lower arm - for a 'scrape' it's taking some healing. Personally I think it should have been left to air dry 0 but the hospital said it needed a dressing. He has to go back to the hospital on Friday - I am hoping it will have improved by then. He has his 3rd driving lesson on Saturday morning which is great - I am so glad he is enjoying it.
Oh yeah, I was going to sleep wasn;t I. Ok, nightnight.

  Thursday 18th June 2009

7am - got up at 6.45am and did 20 minutes on the Wii Fit (the free step programme). Am not in the mood for walking to work today so am getting a lift in. I should aim to walk tomorrow though.

Work was....well .....work. I am no longer going to go to Manchester on the 27th (work thing), was really looking forward to that actually, I don't get to go on many(actually only ever been on one)work related days out, courses, lecture days etc - ah well, that's the way it goes. On the 27th I am going to Liverpool in the evening to usher for Midsummer nights Dream (with Vicki), I was going to get off the train from Manchester and meet Vicki in Liverpool....but now will just head for Liverpool later and meet Vicki for a bite to eat before we go to the theatre.
Am going for a meal tomorrow night with a few people from work. We are going to a Chinese restuarant in Parkgate called Mr Chows, I have not been there before.
Think I need to relax more as am getting SOOOOOOOOO grumpy in work (sometimes- not always but more often than liked).
Will go on the Wii Fit laster of I have the energy!

11.30pm - I did manage 30 minutes on the Wii Fit, I did 30 minutes of the free step which was good. Watched The Mentalist (love this)

Friday 19th June   Goooooooooooood day in work , particularly amost lunch time/ Ah ok.
 Saturday 20th June

Had the nicest meal out last night in Mr Chow's with a few of the girls from work. It was really lovely, the meal was fantastic and then we called at the pub afterwards.

I lost 4 lbs this week, on work scales. On work scales I am 10 at 4 lbs (144 lbs) whih is fantastic, this makes 7 lbs loss so far. I am weighing 3 lbs heavier on my scales at home - so I shal go by worls scales ok!!!!!!!!!!!!!

R and I are going to stay in Fling overnight then Neil and J are going to pick us up early tomorrow morning and we are off to Bala for the day - I just fancy a nice day out.
