Monday 17th August to Sunday 23rd August 2009

Monday 17th August
Neil and J gone to work. R and I have to pop out to Birkenhead as dad gave me a Samsung phone for her (ready for school) but it needs unlocking so we got to go get this done.Weather looks a bit grey but it is not cold, maybe there will be some sunshine later?
Hopped on the scales - ok, seem to have lost another lb (though my scales weigh 3 lbs heavier than the hospital ones (what I get weighed on on a Friday) - Haha so will go by the hospital ones!!!!! But still, it is nice to see the numbers going down slowly on my scales too!!!!!
Today I am going to be so terribly good on food - yes I am. And.....AND I may even go on the TREADMILL later! Have you ever seen Total Wipeout? And they call their's the Dreadmill. !!!!!!!! At the moment our treadmill has a few things on it, you know, like shoes and a box and some books (very good place to put things, like a very big low table) and so needs clearing before I get on it!

It's almost 9am (had 2 cups of tea so far) and R is still asleep - must get her up as we need to go for the bus. Ohh Ohhh I am SO looking forward to our night away, just the two of us. We are going to go early Sat morning, stroll around Knutsford and have a lunch and then book into the hotel and explore that (lounge, grounds etc) and RELAX and DO NOTHING! Here's the Hotel

Just going to have a yummy (maybe not) bowl of All Bran for breakfast - with skim milk - how healthy is that!

My friend Judith popped round for a coffee and brought me these flowers for my birthday - they are lovely, I love flowers they just make me feel happy when I look at them.

Took R to Birkenhead to get her phone unlocked, she is happy now, her first proper phone (ready for school). We wandered round awhile, very busy it was, so apart from buying a baguette for lunch each, we then caught the bus home.

J been to the hospital, follow-up app. He has to have another gastroscopy (or however you spell it), had bloods and is also to have a scan (with having stomach pains). Also he had some bloods done last week and has low white cell count and abnormal iron levels (hemochromatosis? they are looking into this). I do so hope he is ok.

Put some of that fake tan cream on, the one that develops gradually, lightly. Too many applications and I end up looking like I have jaundice. I have tried this stuff before, it's ok if you don't go mad with it. I am very pale and do get a bit fed up of people asking me am I ok (eg ill)....so I thought, Hmmmm..what about a bit of colour? Put it on my arms and legs and a lighter one on my face. Damn, should've waited till had time off from work as colour may look ok but it DOES come off on white clothes (am wearing my white uniform tomorrow)! Ah well!!!!!!!
Last week I put on some mascara and lipstick and blusher to work (not too much) and people kept saying how well I looked!
I don't have a pale and interesting face.....just pale!!!!!!!

Tuesday 18th August

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DORINDA...............AND TO ME TOO (as am 21 again today, haha! no actually, a bit older than that!).

Off to work in 15 minutes (is 7.45am).

Wed 19th August

I has such a nice birthday. Ok, I had to work, but even that was fine!!!! Got some lovely presents (thank you everyone) and few family came round for an hur or so in the evening.

I finished work today till next Wednesday (yeah!). Am going out to the village pub tomorrow night with some of the nurses from work, that should be good and we (me Neil and the kids) are going out Friday night, somewhere, not sure where yet.

THursday 20th August

Put some more light tanning cream on last night. Looks ok, though am not too sure about the fact that I have only put it on my arms and legs - might look a bit weird depending on what I am wearing. J has gone to college for his exam results...ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I am so nervous for him. He is meeting his girlfriend afterwards (she is collecting her results too). I said he HAS to ring/txt me as soon as he has the results.
R and I are going to make cakes and then ho on the bus (or walk if the weather is not iffy) to Heswall. OOOOhhh am waering short cream skirt to show off tan!!!!!! Haha!

It rained lie mad earlier and so I am sure that when I go out in my cream shirt and sandals that I will get very rained on!!!!!!!

R and I walked to Heswall and had a nice afternoon, we caught the bus home. I had a fantastic night out at the pub with the girls from work, I really enjoyed myself.

I got chocolates and lovely cards and a little angel badge
A few of us stayed later cos there was a quiz on and we did that (we didn't win!). Neil picked me up at the end of the night - it was one of the nicest nights out I have had for ages, really a good laugh!

FRIDAY 21st AUGUST

J is off to work today. Neil is off work and I am taking R to get the rest of her school uniform. Later (teatime) when J is home, we will go out for tea and to the cinema.

Saturday 22nd August

Well, we did nt go to the cinema in the end, but we did have a fabulous meal at Old Orleans restuarant.

Today I took R to see Walking With Dinosaurs which was fantastic, those dinosaurs are SO realistic. We wandered round Albert Dock and then to Pier Head and eventually Neil picked us up.

In the evening Neil and I went to West Kirby, had a cup of tea in Sands cafe and did some shopping then came home.

I think I might have gained a few lbs, all the eating I have done lately - ooops. Neil and I have decided that when we wake up tomorrow, if it is sunny, we are going to go for an early morning walk (eg 8am) round West Kirby Lake (will get kids to come along too if we can get them up) J has a driving lesson tomorrow morning.

Sunday 23rd August

Am painting the hall duck-egg-blue and white and got to get it finished by tomorrow - arghghghghgh. Knackered already. Trying to be good on food. The painting is the exercise for today though might do half an hour on treadmill later (I said MIGHT).

R and I went to Liverpool the other day for the Dinosaurs and I took some pics while we were waiting for Neil to pick us up from the Pier Head.
Gorgeous buildings

Me in Sands cafe the other night, Neil and I popped in there for a cup of tea and a sandwich at 7pm, it was lovely.
