Monday 13th July to Sunday 19th July 2009

Monday 13th July

My chest's hurting, not sure if is cos I was hunched over computer yesterday or wot? It's just kind of hurting.
Hopped on the scales and I have lost a lb,

Rain started just after lunch so R's sports day was cancelled (again). Have done very little today, been on internet for ages, walking to get R about 3.10pm.

Judith popped round for a coffee ( we had tea) which was nice. Then I walked to school to get R and J came along too.
Do not feel 100% lately, dunno why, just feel yuck.......nothing I can put my finger on exactly. Just aches and pains and feeling tired and my heart seems to be racing all the time. Dunno? Have an appointment to see the Dr on the 23rd (is the soonest I could book one).Had my usual blood test done htis morning (meant to have them monthly but sometimes forget)...they test LFT's (liver funstion tests), FBC (Full blood count), ESR (any inflamation etc going on), TFT (Thyroid function test) and HBA1c (glucose over last 3 months).....so I guess if anything is going to show up, it will on this bunch!

I would like to wake up tomorrow feeling 100%, lots of energy and happy (am not feeling so happy lately). Ah well.

Am going with 5 other people from work to see Abba The Show on December 13th in Liverpool (it's on one night only). And we are 10 rows from the front, Elaine who went and got the tickets for us got them as soon as they came out. I owe her £40 for the ticket, am glad she managed to get them. We have decided to go to Liverpool and go for a meal before the show - which will be great!

11.15pm - time for bed. Am going to read for a bit. J has only just got in from his friends. R is still awake. We have been watching Four Weddings (tv series about brides to be battling it out for a honeymoon prize) very funny!

 Tuesday 14th July

Was v tired in work.
That's about it really. Oh, am making a carrot, lentil and coriander soup for lunch tomorrow (am doing an extra shift in work in the afternoon. R has her leavers meal tomorrow 5pm till 7pm. J is going to help her get ready as I am not home till 5.20pm.

 Wed 15th July

Work was ok, I did an extra afternoon and it went really quickly. R has gone to a leaver buffet at school (with disco as far as I know?). She does not break up from school until next Tuesday, that is her last ever day at her primary school. I am going to the school on Monday for the leavers assembly - we will all be crying I am sure (parents and children)
I have not been doing any exercise lately, just not in the mood. Maybe I will start and go dancing tonight? Haven't really felt like doing anything at all lately.

Have decided we simply cannot afford to go away at all, not even for 2 days, mainly due to the fact that J has booked himself 2 days in the recording studio at £280 and guess who has to pay. Bloody brilliant.

I did 2 hours dancing tonight which was great. Am going to make an effort and do half an hour on the wii fit (free step) in the morning before I go to work, must get back into doing this. Is now 1am and I should try and get to sleep.

 Friday 17th July 2009

R tonight before she went to her LEavers Party at the villahe hall. She is getting very tall. I thought she looked beautiful. I made her hair all ringlety.

I must say I am a little sacred about swine flu, mainly due to all the media reports. Also bit scared cos I have diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis (and am therefore on Methotrexate which even more lowers my immune system. My newphew had been confined to his room (he is in the army based in Staffordshire) because of swine flu, him and 5 others all had flu symptoms and felt ill. They all got given the aniti-virals. He is home this weekend, feeling 'rough' but on the mend. Think I'll delay going to mum and dads for the time being (they all ive right by each other!). I suppose if you're gonna get swine flu, then you're gonna get it and hopefully it not be a bad dose of it (flu). Can't remember the last time I ever had flu, many many years ago I guess. You can;t help worrying though can you?

R had the most fabulous time at her leavers party, they all got autograph books and went rounf signing them and had loads of pics taken. The girls thought R's hair was gorgeous and loved how she looked. One of the mums said how pretty R looked - R said lots of the adults and the girls said how lovely she looked. I am so glad she had such a nice time. Spare no expense for the party - they had pizza and hot dogs!!!!!!!!!!
R has another party to go to on Sunday night (damn just realised it's when we are all supposed to be going to Bill n Maries to see Neil's brother n wife who are over from Australia) so R won't be there - well she might be, depending on what time the birthday party finishes.
R wants her hair darker for the black n white ball on Sunday night - am tempted to get a black that washes out in 24 washes - but Hmmmmmm......., is that such a good idea? She'd love it (R). And it will wash out, might take longer than 24 washes? Dunno???????

(telephoned my mum earlier) Mum got sent home from work today with instructions to stay off for 5 days or more cos of suspected swine flu (she only lives over the road from my sister and saw my nephew (her grandson) last weekend when he was home (though was meant to be in confinement). Said to mum, I might not visit this weekend! She said she kept going hot and cold, had a temp, sore throat and aches and pains. Dr said to stay off work, take paracetamol (go via the NHS web site for tamiflu 0r however you spell it if needed) and NOT go to the Dr's or chemist herself etc. I said she ought to get the flu anti-viral but she said "nah, I'll be ok". She's going to rest, drink plenty of water and take paracetamol.

8am - Yesterday I got weighed in work and was disapointed to have hained a lb, but it's just a lb. We photocopied the Slimming World food diary to fill in and I stared that yesterday - not helped though by having a hypo at just after midnight and mostly I deal with hypos well and don't over do it (ie eat too much) but in this case I felt so hypo I ended up having a bagel (which was more than enough) and 6 rich tea biscuits and a glass of milk, consequently my blood sugar is high this morning and I am having extra insulin to correct that - Arghghghg.

Anyway, yes, I am now attempting to do the Slimming World diet plan, which is sensible eating on the whole (though you , or rather me, will have to watch portion sizes).

No plans for today as such though I am out in Liverpool tonight ushering at the theatre again - tonights production is The Vagina Monologues

Oh wow, I totally enjoyed the theatre tonight, it was great, very funny (though very moving in parts). It lasted 80 minutes and went very quickly. We collected tickets and gave out programmes and handed out leaflets at the end and collected glasses (since plastic glasses can be taken in the theatre, for drinks from the bar). It was fab. We are there again next week to usher for Angels With Manky Faces This is what we are ushering (watching). I am looking forward to this. Also we are going to see Brick Up The Mersey Tunnels which I SO want to go and see. That is on at Royal Court Theatre Liverpool (we are not ushering there!). Tickets range from £12.50 to £30+ I think.. Also on is Our Day Out (Willy Russell play, comedy) that Neil and I went to see in the Gladstone Theatre Port Sunlight many years ago and really enjoyed. I am wondering whether to go along with Neil to this bigger production of it? I thikn we ought to take the kids to the theatre. I think we should look at whats on in Liverpool, Theatre Clwyd (North Wales) and Manchester - all places easy to get to.

Of course R and I are going to see Walking With Dinosaurs in August in the Liverpool Echo Area which is going to be great! J wants tickets to go see Bowling For Soup in September, so I said we'd get him 2 tickets, he usually makes his own way there (Liverpool).

Thinking about it, I am going to book 4 tickets to Our Day Out at Liverpool Royal Court for September for us all, I think it should be fun!!!! It's like...£40 for 4 tickets which is good.

 Sunday 19th July

Went round to Neils mum n dads in the evening to see Neil's brother and his wife (Phil and Angie) who are over from Australia for 2 weeks. It was really nice to see them. R went to her Black and White masked Ball at 7pm till 9pm, they all had a great time. R won a prize for having the best mask (pics to follow)

RIGHT - tomorrow I am SO going to start the SW plan properly, no more messing about. I am going to do this now. Have joined IVillage support group for Slimming World-ers, seems like a nice place for help support etc. A few pics of me taken earlier tonight are arghghggggggggggggggggggggggggggg.
