Monday 5th October to Sunday 11th October 2009

Monday 5th October 2009

R brought home her school pic yesterday which is gorgeous, she looks so lovely on it. I dug out a small pic of me in my first year of high school (1974) and put them both into black and white and here they are!

What do you think!?

Getting weighed today! Have not been quite as good as I could have been this week to be honest - but hey, I can try harder next week.

It's 7am. Neil has run J to meet J (girlfriend) before college. I am going to Slimming World at 9am -ohhhhhhhhhhhh I have no idea how I have done. I am going to do half an hour on the treadmill in a moment and aim to do this every day - yes I am!

Errrrmmmmmm.....haven't been on the treadmill as yet (1.40pm) but Neil and I have been moving furniture round in the front room so counts as exercise!!!!

Whoooo hooooo......lost another lb at Slimming World making 5.5 lbs so far, so each week since I started there I have lost weight. Am going to have a BRILLIANT week. Well done to Judith too who lost half a pound making 12 and a half pounds so far.

Ok, I had some pink smarties, they are so nice to look at and eat of course. I like the tube of blue ones too but they only had pink ones in the shop!

Not part of the diet plan I admit - but well, I needed some colour!

 Tuesday 6th October

R is having a scary sleepover at the weekend, I am going to decorate the front room!
ISn't this sweet. It is a candle holder and I got it for 75p at a charity shop
Got a new clock too which is lovely, just goes so well with the room.
Work was fine today. I was not very good on the diet plan last night (wine and 2 bagels and pink smarties!) But it's gone and forgotten and I won't do it again (till the next time!). So I now have to be SUPER good for the rest of the week - well the rest of forever really!!!! Today I had ermmm......
weetabix and skim milk - Breakfast
Salad sandwich and cup a soup - Lunch
Bacon, egg, tomatoes, sausage, beans, 4 onion rings and a yogurt - Tea

Fairly good.

My friend Sue brought round my satin dress that I bought lastyear, and was going to wear to last years Xmas party (that got cancelled). Anyway, thought I'd wear it to this years party. I was 2 lbs lighter last year - dress fitted ok. This year (remember, 2 lbs heavier at the moment) IT WON'T GO NEAR ME.............................
Why oh why has all my FLAB gone to my middle - middle age spread??? Surely not (am too young for that!!)

So what can I do?

1. Lose weight by 11th December
2. Buy new outfit

I am opting for number 1. I like the dress and want to wear it and IT WILL FIT ME by the party date ok!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 Wed 7th October

Am too lazy to go to dancing tonight to be honest. Plus I want Neil to put the kitchen table together and he might need a hand doing that?

Been ok on diet plan, trying not to think of it as a diet plan as such, just healthier eating. Made a spinack soup, OMG it smells yucky! Dunno if I can actually eat it?? It's got garlic and ginger and onion in it too and a bit of carrot and all blended smooth - looks foul (very dark green). Smelt ok when it was cooking. It reminds me of a stagnant pond!!!!!

Neil is still job hunting. I am worried that come Christmas when he finishes with his 2 freelance days a week, well that will be it - no job. We will have to apply for state benefits (or as it's called - Jobseekers allowance which is a pittance) and apparently you get help with mortgage and stuff?????? I have my job of course but it pays very little (£8.10 an hour but is better than nothing of course)

Ah well ..........musn't moan

 Friday 9th October

Oh I have not followed the plan so good this last week. Have got very sore throat today and felt a bit crappy (not good).

Am wishing R's sleepover was next weekend! 3 girls are sleeping over (taking them for something to eat first). Duvets and blankets in the living room - party all night!!! Haha - hopefully not, they can stay awake and talk and tell scary stories (as is meant to be a scary sleepover) as long as they do not make too much noise! Neil and I popped out for tea tonight (special offer £9.95 2 meals) in the Basset Hound down the road, was ok, not so brill with haivng sore throat so perhaps should have left it for now - was meant to be a meal out for it is our 19th wedding anniversary on Tuesda and we did not want to go out Tue night as both in work Wed morning. I did not have any alcohol, just diet coke and Neil did not drink either as he was driving.

Ohhhhh I need some paracetamol - my throat is hurting

Got these little red organza gift bags for R's party, I put little siliver and red foil wrapped chocolates in them with a few gold coins (chocolate ones!), I also did bigger party bags (for the girls to go home with on Sunday) filled with cute halloween jewelry stuff in them along with a few skeleton hands, some false teeth (vampire) and a spooky little wind up toy!

I want a party bag!!!!!!!!!

 Saturday 10th October 2009

A ring I bought in a sale earlier - was very cheap! £2. I love jewels and jewel colours and anything with stones and sparkly - I am a magpie!!!!!! Jeweled colours like ruby and blues are lovely. I love glass and mirrors. You know those sotnes you can get for jars and such just glass but look like large diamonds! Love thoseI have one of these on my cupboard top in front room, looks a bit lonley on it's own but probably would look silly if I had a whole pile of them!
How gorgeous is this! Just found this pic on internet. And this
WOW, this is from the US and costs $195 that's all!!!!! Ah well. I love my ring!

Can I go here on holiday please!!!!!

Someone stop me eating...............

Still Saturday 10th October - R's party sleepover night with 3 other girls

It's going to be a long night.......................................

9.10pm - The girls have had pizza, ice-cream and chocolates. Neil and I ate a takeaway upstairs. The girls half watched Joseph (with Donny Osmond) and it was LOUD. We hid the candles as the kids might mess with them (we had small spooky candles). They have the duvets downstairs. Is it time for them to go to sleep yet???? Please let it be time for them to go to sleep.

9.30pm - Neil and J have escaped to the shop - why oh why?????

11PM - They are pretty quiet, they are watching Santa Claus the movie!

12.15am - They are a bit noisey but I have banged on the floor a few times to get them to be quiet. I don't mind giggles and laughing but screeching and whooping is too much this time of night. Last year, didn't I say I'd never do this ever again???????????

1.40am - how can they still be awake? R came upstairs to appologise abou the mess??? What mess????
I went donstairs. How can they have gotten snacks and nibbles and sweets inbetween the blankets on the floor? How can they sleep on the floor cos of all the mess??
Tidied it up as best I can whilst the 'girls' wandered into the kitchen putting a cd player on with some car music. I turned it off - said " GO TO SLEEP" , giggle all you want BUT "GO TO SLEEP".

To be fair, R looked embarrassed and a bit fed up of how the girls are being, think she wanted them to go to flippin sleep. NO WAY on this earth I am having a sleepover AGAIN. If you think sleepovers are nice thing for you to do for your son/daughter - take a look at last years!!!!

2.41am - They seem to be asleep!?

 Sunday 11th October

Am so tired!!!!!! Kids are half awake at 8.30am (now) . Dunno how much they slept? Hopefull they will be all gone by about 10am and I can go back to sleep for a while. Is not nice when you have sore throat.

9.40am - Oh how sad the news that Stephen Gately has died (Boyzone). He was always my favourite. So young, so so sad.

Time for a cup of tea I think (it's 12.30 midday). R has a friend coming orund this afternoon for a few hours, the girls (from sleepover) went about 2 hours ago (all tired I think).
I just did 10 (better than nothing) minutes on the treadmill, thought 10 minutes was enough (with sore throat). I am going to make an effort when am feeling better, to exercise more (aiming for some exercise every day, even small amounts) and am going to avoid sugary foods and fatty foods. New start - let's be healthy.

When I think back to all the 'extras' I have eaten over this last week, well I would not be surprised it I had gained back the 5 and a half pounds I have taken 4 weeks to bloody well lose. What extras well........wine on Monday night, smarties, bagels, more smarties, a chicken burger wwith fries, some more wine - just enough to gain some eh????? Serves me right. 4 weeks into a healthier eating plan and already I have buggered it up.

BUT.............no matter (well yes matter but....), I shall have the goodest of weeks this coming week, I shall. Starting tomorrow (as is late now - 11.30pm Sunday night). Watched Jamie at Home (Oliver that is)....cool! He did this FAB recipe for coleslaw with gorgeous ingredients and this sausage dish that MMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm............................ made me HUNGRY just watching him cooking. Also watched Restuarant in My Living Room - haha was v funny and watched Come Dine With Me ( there's a bit of a pattern here?!)

OOOOhhhhhhhh my gorgeous little girl is 12 tomorrow, she is so beautiful and I love her so much (love J so much too). Sometimes I want to cuddle the 2 of them and never ever let them go!
