Monday 21st September to Sunday 27th September 2009

Monday 21st September 2009

Whoo hooo I lost 1.5 (one and a half) pounds!!!!! Yippeee, I am on my way to losing these lbs! Judith has done SO WELL< she lost 2 this week making 8.5 lbs so far - whey hey!

Neil and I walked round West Kirby, called in the charity shops as our slimming groups is having a party next week and the theme is 1960's. Could I find anything 60's looking in the clothes?? No. Am a bit too young to remember what they wore in the 60's as I was born in the 60's - haha!

My legs could carry off a mini skirt but well, my middle??? Don't think so!

Went for a walk to our usual place in the early evening
Me on West Kirby prom, see the sunset
The sunset was reflecting on the windows of these flats - it looks like they are on fire!!!!
Walking back to the car along the prom

 Tuesday 22nd September

Work was fine today, was v tired when I got home though. Made a nice tea for us all (very Slimming World Friendly). Neils mum n dad brought J home from college, unfortunately Neils mum had a bit of a fall and hurt her head/cheek. We went up there early evening to check on the two of them. Thankfully she is ok, but is going to have a big bruise.
The walk up to the village with Neil and the kids was nice. It is now 9.30pm and time to watch a bit of chill out tv (no late night as am in work in the morning) . I have to catch the bus to work (will get on with J as he goes to college 7.35am). Our car is kapputed in the garage in the village.

Am feeling quite pleased with myself. I am actually managing quite easily to stick to the Slimming World Plan, which is basically healthy eating. I am not snacking in the evenings and am even to a certain extent - wait for it - planning meals!!!!!!!
Of all the diet clubs I have been to this has been the easiest and is what I lost all my weight with one time. All I want to do is lose a lb or two each week. And ok, so what if I have the odd gain or stay the same - I can and will lose this weight. Also am VERY pleased at how much walking we as a family are all doing lately. It certainly does de-stress you. J is much less stressed as is R (ok, maybe not R as she has permanent PMT and teen hormones at the moment) - but she is enjoying the walks and laughs a lot which is what we want.
I even did 20 minutes on the Wii fit free step this morning before work - whoo hooo. NEil has been going on the treadmill and J has been doing walking, less of the exercises he was doing before since he was told last week he has a hiatus hernia (which apparently will sort itself out), in the meantime he has to avoid lots of things like spices, cola, coffee, bending, etc.

One of my fave Beatles songs!

 Wed 23rd September

Half day in work (am home now). Should be blitzing the house (houvering, polishing, cleaning etc).......well, am thinking about it anyway. I work better early in the morning and on a good day can get the house all done by 9am!

I feel guilty for not doing the cleaning butttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt..........I am going dancing for 2 hours tonight so perhaps should save some energy for that?

Things I should be doing/need to do
1. Houver whole house
2. Polish everywhere
3. Clean windows
4 Move furniture in R's room and clean
5. Put away ALL washing before I forget that I washed it and wash it again
6. Finish painting in hall
7. Wipe down all paintwork etc etc and so on.

I think I'll get up a bit earlier tomorrow (ie about 6am) and houver - haha! that'll make everyone get up!!!!!!

I can't bear it when I haven't blitzed the house for ages, should have more of a routine really and break it down into smaller jobs more often.

Am being super good on SW plan (am no longer having alcohol at all which is good) am not snacking in the evenings which is great at making my blood sugars brill in the mornings. All in all feel pretty pleased with myself.

Neil is making a bit of an effort with his diet too as is J. We are going to be a super fit family eh!!!!!!!!

 Friday 25th September

I have been getting weighed in work nearly every Friday now since the beginning of May - so thats about 20 weeks. OF course you all know I joined Slimming World 3 weeks aho but will continue to get weighed at work on a Friday (besides which the scales at work weigh far less than the Slimming World ones).

Got weighed at work today (did not get weighed last week as the nurse was on holiday), anyway since I last got weighed I have lost 4 lbs - making 11 lbs altogether (since stating to get weighed at work). Yippeeeee.....on the work scales I am down to 140 lbs which sounds good. On the work scales I could be in the 9 st's next week!!!!!! At Sliming World on Monday I was 10 lbs heavier - grrrrrrr.....................

I should only go by one set of scales really. And the Slimming World is where I am going for the time being, well, untill I get to my goal weight and after. So far on Slimming World (2 weigh ins) I have lost 3 and a half pounds which am very pleased with. That was 2 lbs in the first week and 1 and a half pounds in the second week.I am doing 2 hours line dancing tonight

 Sunday 27th September

Supposed to be wearing something 1960's style for Slimming World tomorrow (and something red) cos it Slimming Worlds ruby celebrations. Hmmmm.....got a checked short skirt or a red and black funny pattern short skirt and a redtop? Could wear boots too? Will I look like a nitwit? (ie STUPID)

How many people will actually dress up? DO I say SOD IT and go in short skirt, red top and red jacket? (I got myself a gorgeous short red mack from Asda).

AND MORE INPORTANTLY< the clothing has to be very light as am getting weighed!!!!!!!!!!!! The skirt's light haha cos it's short.

As I have said before, I can carry off a short skirt as my legs are quite skinny - but my middle (crikey) looks like it should belong on another body (not mine) as is too round.

I try to give the illusion of being taller and not so round but it is not easy to do. Proper suitable clothing might do it, cept I don't have any!!! I either have long skirts that make me look like a dalek or short ones which add to the round ball on legs effect.

My poor jeans are the right length, nice style, nice colour but alas I can only get them on when I lie down on the bed and then cannot breathe very well in them. Hopefully this will change over the next few months. I have a nice pair of black trousers (but am SO fed up of black, it should be banned) and the trousers are SO big in the legs (cos I have to get them bigger to fit me round the waist) - yes they are so big in the legs I make flapping sounds when I walk like a flag on a pole. Also the trousers have gone loose on me and I can actually get them on and off without undoing them which hey, is good for making me feel skinnier (ie thinner than I am) and is quicker when going to the loo not having to undo zips and buttons but still.........

Went to Flint to stay overnight (just me) and on Saturday I called in the Chemist where my sister works (Lloyds chemist) and bought myself a bottle of Lacoste Love Of Pink - a girl in work gave me a bottle of Touch of Pink (not full bottle) and I love it, I had already tried Love of Pink on and loved that too so treated myself to a bottle. Wasn't too bad at £22 (got discount cos my sister works there!). It's a lovely perfume.
