Monday 31st August to Sunday 6th September 2009

Monday 31st August

Here are some pics from our night away.

Part of the hotel where we stayed. We had dinner and breakfast. Dinner was gorgeous and we had a table by the window, not shown here. We wandered round Knutsford when we got there (parked at the hotel and booked in). Then went to Cranford cafe for lunch which was yummy. Spent a few hours shopping then went back to the hotel to freshen up (bath) and get ready for dinner which was booked for 7pm.

One of the streets in Knutsford
After dinner we wandered into the town centre and found this pub which was advertising live music, so we went in (traditional english pub). There was a band on called The Shuffle Kings - we stayed there till half past midnight! The wandered along the road and found this bar/club so went in there
Vaguely remember getting back to the hotel about 2.30am!!!!!!
Me in the hotel room
Another Knutsford street
On the way home we went to Willow Pool (huge place that sells old stuff.) "Neil shall we buy this for our garden"?
"How much"????
It was about £900
Gorgeous place to wander round. So much to see. We are going to take the kids there in a few weeks and the cafe there was SO nice also they had a tearoom called The Cavern (full of Beatles memorabilia (or however you spell that). There was tons of stuff for sale and not everything was that expensive.
If you need any garden statues, go to Willow Pool.

All this stuff was for sale (Hmmmm.......what to choose?)
Don't think it would look right in my front room though
Called at Gordale (garden centre) on the way home and bought this picture (and a frame), I really liked it. Is quite a big picture so is going on the hall wall.

We both totally enjoyed out night away, Neil did have a HUGE hangover in the morning though and could not eat breakfast! SO I had breakfast on my own in the hotel dining room (very elegant room). The best past of going away is the breakfast in the morning!!!!!!!

 Tuesday 1st September

We went for a walk again tonight, around the Marine Lake, alll of us went, it was nice. J is on a 'get fitter' campaign, he is cutting out fattier foods and going for a half hour walk every day, which is brilliant.

Work was ok today, I am off tomorrow, back in the rest of the week. I can't believe that J is back to college on Thursday and R starts her 1st day at her new school on Friday.

Been doing ok with exercise, we have been going for a walk round the lake each night. Okish on food, sort of!!!!!!

R had a great time in her friends and I had a nice time too chatting to her mum and coffee. I am glad R has foound such a nice new friend.

We did go for a walk tonight round the Lake - it was windy and pouring with rain. I gave up quarter of the way round and turned back and sat in the car for 5 minutes then I locked the car and went the other way round and met them - so at least I got a good walk too!

Here I met Neil and the kids tonight - they were very wet!!!!
The Lake last night, it looks huge and we walk totally round it and walking at a very brisk pace it takes about 20 minutes. I make Neil and the kids walk fast! These are pics from last night
J last night
A gorgeous half rainbow that we took pics of last night
It looks a very long way but it isn't
This is the sailing school which is at one end of the lake and there is a sailing club at the other end. I keep trying to persuade R to come and have a few 'boat' lessons with me!!!!

Well I am glad we are keeping up with the walks round the lake no matter what the weather.

 Thursday 3rd September

Horrid weather or what! And yes we are going for a walk round the lake AGAIN tonight. We were very naughty and had tea at Sainsburys (one of their brunch breakfasts) yuck I feel erghghghg now. Hence the walk round the lake soon (it's 7pm)

 Friday 4th September

R had a fantastic first day at her new school, she really enjoyed it.

Neil and I did go for a walk round the lake last night, it was very windy. We are going for a walk around the lake again tonight. Feel a bit BLAH actually, dunno why really.

 Saturday 5th September 2009

We did go for our walk last night round the lake (the kids came too), it was very very windy again! Then we popped to Tesco supermarket and got a few things. I tried one of the Atkins chocooate bars (cos it is low in carns), it was ok, but a bit too pricey to buy more than once at £1.17 for a small bar.

Gotta tidy up a little today and R has her friend coming round at 1pm.

Oh yes, I got weighed in work yesterday morning and had lost 2 lbs, that makes 7 lbs so far. Now all I need to do is get rid of another 2 for next week and keep on aiming for 1 or 2 lost each and every week till I go away. It is 8 weeks till I go to Hayling Island with the dance class.

 Sunday 6th September

Been looking at the cost of going away for Easter. Found that 2 weeks in our fave holiday camp (Brixham Holiday Park), thats the 2 Easter weeks is just £159 - YES, £159 for 2 whole weeks!!!!! I said to Neil - we gotta do it, how can we not.

Of course the weather can be crappy at that time of the year, but same goes for the summer months. One year we went away at Easter (to the Chapel at Hethersgill) and it was hot and sunny all week. I am desperate for a holiday as we did not have one this year. We do have to be careful with £££££ but how could you pass up the chance of a 2 week holiday for just £159???????

No plans for today as such, we will go for a walk later.

Am joining Slimming World tomorrow with my friend Judith - she talked me into it!!!! Nah, we've both been thinking about it for ages. I have decided to buy a 12 week joining thingie for it and if I have not lost some in that 12 weeks, then it's never gonna work is it!!!!!!

Hehe! Me after I joined Slimming World last time!!!!

J has decided that he won't be with us for the 1st week of the Easter hols and he will travel down by train for the 2nd week which is fine. We haven't decided whether to go on the Saturday which means we would not be here for J's birthday or go on the Monday, J said he doesn't mind if we go on the Saturday (which we probably will), he's having friends round for his birthday and possibly his girlfriend. We can celebrate his birthday when he joins us.
