Monday 22nd June to Sunday 28th June 2009

Monday 22nd June
R and J have gone (school and college) and Neil has gone off to work. Need to tidy house today and chill out, whatever.R and I spent Sat night at mum n dads which was nice then Neil and J came for us Sunday morning and we went for a run to Bala and Llangollen.
Feel and am trying to 'shake' it off - not so easy though. I think it's mainly cos I feel like there is not a lot to look forward to and I want to go on holiday this year SO MUCH and we can't. Ok, I should not whinge I know.Maybe it's not just that, I dunno, who knows??????? I think it's actually LOTS of little things (too many to mention) - all adding up to one big black cloud.

11am - Just did 30 minutes on the Wii Fit (also did 10 mins at 7.30am this morning). PHEW

Can't decide whether to have slim fast for lunch of FOOD? I think I actually feel like proper food today.
Lunchtime - I had a nice egg alad for lunch with 2 bread sticks and a muller light yogurt.
Wot do you think? Got these hair extensions Saturday when I was out shopping with my mum and they cost just £4 (they clip in). Can't decided whether they look great or not quite right!!!!!!!! They felt really heavy! I think I'll probably cut them a little bit shorter, they would be nice to wear for a night out maybe.

Did another 30 minutes on the Wii Fit this evening (using the Free Step). Am going to do that in the morning before work too. If it is nice and sunny in the morning I will make the effort to walk to work. Did not eat so healthily at tea-time. I am glad that I am managing to get some exercise done, I am sure this will help in the fight to lose these lbs.
I cannot wait to get to 10 st (140 lbs) so I can do another progress pic (link on front page). So here's my targets
Current weight 10 st 4 lbs (144 lbs)
Next target - 10 st (140 lbs)
Next target - 9 st 7 lbs (133 lbs)
Next target - 9 st (126 lbs)
Next and final target - 8 st 7 lbs (119 lbs)

So, between the dancing, the Wii Fit, the walking to work and healthier eating as best as I an - well - should be no problem!!!!!!

 Tuesday 23rd June

Was going to walk to work but totally did not feel like it, pity really as it wa snice and sunny. I did do 20 minutes on the Wii Fit this morning before work (Free Step), so that is better than nothing.
Am not going dancing tonight as Sue is not going so will do half an hour on Wii Fit later.
Work was fine.

I did attempy to do Wii Fit in the evening but got a pain in my left ribs and got scared so stopped. Took some diclofenac as I am thinking it might be muscular/arthritic type pain?
Got tons of healthy stuff from Asda. Made a very healthy chickpea thing
chickpeas, garlic, tomatoes, lemon grass, chilli, ginger, spinach, sesame seeds, tumeric - what a mixture of flavours! Smelt very nice and tasted very nice too as I JUST had to try a bit. It is for my lunch tomorrow.
Am not always doing the Slim Fast, depends on my mood.
Got brocoli, cauliflower, bananas, apples, chicory, celery, tomatoes, potates, and other stuff. Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

 Wednesday 24th June

Lovely day out today. I did 20 minutes on the Wii Fit in the morning before I went to work (got a lift to work though). I am going dancing tonight for 2 hours. Had my ChickPea thing for lunch with a nice banana. Mmmmmmmm..........

I am actually feeling a bit slimmer (ie not a ft day then!). I think because I got weighed on Friday and the scales showed a 4 lbs loss, that really made me feel good. I do weigh heavier on my scales and therefore am avoiding them! Seeing that I have lost 7 lbs (since starting the weigh in's at work) makes me want to do better. I am slowly starting to believe that I CAN DO IT - I can get back down (for yes, I was there once) to 8 and a half stone (119 lbs). That is a comfy weight for me to be at, the charts all say I should be under 112 lbs, but I could not get to that and anyway, the last time I was under 8 st was when I was in school.
I want to lose the weight sensibly and I want to tone up if I can (must get some weights - oh, we have some and they are in J's room).

I did 2 hours dancing tonight. Am going to get up tomorrow and do half an hour on the Wii Fit. Neil did 25 minutes on the Wii Fit earlier also.

 Thursday 25th June

Work was ok. I did 30 minutes on the Wii Fit in the morning before work. Had my eyes checked by the consultant in work (follow up apppointment). I had a scan and my eyes were dilated. The fluid has gone down a little and still have the 'dot' bleeds but all is stable at the moment thank goodness. Must keep my blood sugars VERY stable as possible, no big fluctuations.

 Friday 26th June

5am - cannot get back to sleep so am up and have washed my hair. Sad news about Michael Jackson, I hate sad news like this.
Am going to do half an hour on the Wii fit this morning. I am not getting weighed today as the nurse who does this is on holiday, I might hop on the scales at work anyway, just to keep me on my toes!

Hmmmmm...I did hop on the scales at work and may have gained a few lbs? Well, I shan't count that as is not official weigh in!!!!!!!!!!! Must be good this coming week. Rachel in work has lost almost a stone (14 lbs) with Slimming World which is fantastic (well done to her) - I want to lose this much (and more) , I want to be successful and lose these horrid lbs.
I think I am fairly active and looking at my food diary I see many times where I should have avoided stuff - silly me.
Have been worried about a pain in my left rib area (front and back), hurts when I cough. Plus all the swinging of my arms when doing the Wii Fit has led me to have a painful shoulder (same side). I have a Dr's appointment this coming Monday.

I did do 30 minutes on the Wii Fit this morning and 2 hours dancing tonight (helped with some paracetamol and diclofenac).

R and I are off to Liverpool tomorrow as she has to get an outfit for her 'prom' (or leavers meal/disco). J said he'll probably come with us too.

 Saturday 27th June

Went to Liverpool (10am) with J and R so we could find something for R to wear to 2 parties (prom type do's). Well, we had NO LUCK. R is about a size 14 to 16 (adult) and about an inch taller than me, so about 5 ft (just about). So, yep, she is not average 11 year old size, on the other hand she is no longer the biggest girl in her class, she has slimmed down and actually looks good I think. But could we find something suitable for her to wear???? NO.
Age 14 to 16 stuff is made for SKINNY girls, plus a lot of stuff is too revealing (round the bust) or too strappy or bustier type style. NO GOOD. A lot of the adults clothes are just not suitable. So we got NOTHING.
Plus it didn;t help that all she wants to wear is bloody black.
We went to Zara, H & M, New Look, River Island, M&S, Denenhams, BHS, Monsoon, Quiggins (Punk type stuff), and we got nothing, she saw nothing that she liked. Arggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

She wants a dress, but I said we will have to settle for a nice skirt and top (if we can bloody well find something). There's got to be something out there that she can look good in and feel nice in.?

So tomorrow we are off to Cheshire Oaks (outlet village). I am feeling stressed. V stressed

Well, tonight I am off to Liverpool yet again, but this time to go to the Unity Theatre to be an Usher again at the Midsummer Night's Dream play, along with Vicky, which I am looking forward to. I have not been on the Wii Fit today though I did do loads of walking round Liverpool earlier today, and ok I did have a meal in a cafe with the kids!

I really enjoyed the Theatre tonight, it was a youth production of Midsummer Nights Dream, it was very good. We were home by 9.30pm as the play was not that long and they did not have an interval.
I have eaten some popcorn (toffee) and a packet of crisps - but am going to be super good and not have any wine.

12.45am - Just finished watching Gross Pointe Blan with John Cusak who I really like. And indeed I was very very good and did not have any wine, in fact I am not going to have any for the forseeable future whilst I am trying to lose weight.

Sunday 28th june

Took R to |Matalan and we also visited the big Tesco and Asda. We got a lovely white top with silver squiggles on it and she is going to wear a black tiered short skirt and we got her a pair of really pretty silver sandals. WOW it was so hot out today.

I did half an hour on the Wii Fit tonight doing the free step again. Have been pretty good on food today, I did have a nice small ice-cream cone when we were out.
