Monday 1st June to Sunday 7th June 2009

Monday 1st June
Kids are back to school/college today and Neil is working from home cos the car has to go in for it's MOT (it failed it the other day). I spent lots of time last night looking at holidays - wishing we could afford one this year - but we can't. I so so so so so so want a holiday away, somewhere anywhere.

We would love to go to Brixham again this year but just can't, we simply have no £. I told Neil and the kids that next year we are going to somewhere like Crete or Greece (definately)

I just need some kind secret millionaire out there to, you know, donate some £££££ for a holiday for us via my email address at PAYPAL please!. Did do a few scratch cards today (didn't win) Ah well.

Another beautiful day out there (it's 7.30am), J is about to go off to college and R is getting ready for school. Today I have no plans as such.

Judith earlier today.

Sat out in the garden with Judith who called round for a coffee, which was nice, we sat and chatted about allsorts and everything.

My hair - think I'll ditch the 'ageing' blue sunglasses though! I think coloured sunglassed (red/green/blue) have the knack of ageing you, trouble is these are prescription (allbeit a few years old). I need new prescription shades ASAP!

It was gorgeous walking to school to get R, so hot and sunny with a little light breeze. Took a little movie on the camera so will put that up later. The weater is so so nice, pity I am in work now for the rest of the week.

Mum n dad are in Brixham in a fab cottage see it here , they have gone with my aunty Jen (mums sister) and Uncle Denny - sounds like they are having a great week there (I am so jealous, I SO want to go to Brixham - it is where Neil and I are moving to PERMANENTLY when we can!!!!

Tuesday 2nd June 09

I walked to work this morning, it was nice and sunny and I enjoyed the walk. Had a 20 minute walk to the shop in the evening too. I did okish on the diet - sort of (2 small biscuits in work and 4 rich tea bicckies in the evening)!

Friday 5th June

I did 2 hours dancing on Wed night and this week I have walked to work 4 times (8 miles in all) and today I got weighed and lost JUST a lb - ah well, better than nothing I suppose. Am going dancing to night too. I am taking R for her haircut (trim) tomorrow - I think I am looking forward to it more than her!!!!!!

We were talking about GHD hair straightners in work (as in, I want some, few people in work thave them). I think average price for decent ones are about £80. My sister Ches got some straightners and hers were over £60 but they're bloody good ones. Mine were about £40 a year or 2 ago, but they are not a patch on the GHD ones my sister has. You barely swipe them over your hair and your hair is sleek and straight and silky - you have to use mine about 20 times to get a similar effect.
See, these aren't bad are they at £56......

These are the ones that I have, you can put water in them to steam straighten your hair.

Well, I had better go get ready for dancing.

Saturday 6th June

Taking R for her haircut today. And of course it's raining.

Neil, J, R and I went to Heswall. Rain and more rain. I took R to the hairdressers (it took some persuading as she DID NOT want to go).

After all that she loved it, loved having her hair washed and treated with banana smelling conditioner. The girl did her hair silky straight and it was trimmed. BUT......when we got out of the hairdressers the rain was heavier and R refued to put her hood up....so her hair went wavy!!!! Hmmm.... all that for £15 (oh yeah and £10 on top of that for detangling spray thanks, from the hairdressers). Am a sucker and get talked into buying stuff.

Am taking J and R to see Night At The Museum 2 later, Neil does not want to see it.

Neil and I (not the kids) went for a walk in the evening, we walked for just over 3 miles which is ok, not a long way, but a decent walk which we enjoyed. Was a bit cold, so we would have walked further had it been warmer. We are going to go for a walk tomorrow also, and will try and persuade the kids to come along as well..

We did not get to the cinema. We have rented Bride Wars to watch tonight, well it;s tonight now!

Went to Lloyds chemist earlier today to try on some perfumes. Sprayed some of this on which I thought was nice. Tried 2 others, then got confused which was which!

Tried some of this, JLO Glow and also
Lacoste Touch Of Pink which I think was nice too. I think I'll go along to the chemist each Saturday and try different perfumes!
A woman came into the hospital the other day (I was testing her eyes) and she had the nicest perfume on - she said it was 2 perfumes!
Chanel Allure and Red Door

Chanel Allure seems to be arounf £35 for the cheaper spray and Red Door by Elizabeth Arden seems to be around £10 for the cheaper spray.

I have never been a big perfume fan but lately, I dunno, some of the perfumes are so nice and they DO cheer you up. Smelling nice just makes you feel better!
I got R some Hannah Montanna perfume and she uses that as a room spray in her bedroom - smells quite nice! Trouble is she has now used the 2 bottle os Provocative Woman perfume I had, (given to me by mum)!!!!!! And that is £21.50 for the 30 ml bottle - ooops. I had two 30 ml bottles (they weren't full) and now, ermmm... they've gone - expensive room freshner or what!

Think I'll have to have a word with her about which perfumes she can spray round her room and which she can't (just as well I have my Chanel No 5 in my handbag!

Thank you to SteveB who sponsored me for Race For Life XXXXXXX.

Speaking of Race For Life - yes I have been doing more walking so this should help, but I need to be doing a bit of running too. Think I'll start tomorrow! O am looking forward to the Race For Life and am doing it with Iris, Kathryn, Elaine and Anju and none of us are 'runners' and we all said what matters is not how fast we complete it, but that we are doing it and raising money for a great charity (cancer). I have ordered the nicest pink shorts (from ebay)
ok, they are just Addidas running shorts but I like them! And Anju is sorting out our Pink T-Shirts and getting something printed on them I think, not sure what. My sister Teresa is also doing the same Race For Life in Birkenhead, she has been training very hard (running) and I am sure will beat her time from last years race.
We (Iris Kathryn Anju and Elaine) have said we will probably get carried away like everyone else and do some running - I would like to, I would like to run as much as I can during the race - for me. I know my joints are a bit knackered (rheumatoid) and I am not the fittest person in the world....but I will do my best.

Sunday 7th May

Again, no plans for today as such, but will aim to do a long walk later on. R is going on an outward bound course next weekend (for 3 days) and is really looking forward to it. She said she wants to do the rock climbing/abseiling the most.

J has been out all day with his friends (not back yet). R and I had a laugh and watched Home Alone 3. Other than that have done next to nothing today. I made a Mango and Strawberry smoothie which was nice and I made homemade chicken burgers (thanks to Gillian McKeith).
