Friday 10th April to Sunday 12th April 2009

Friday 10th April

We had a really nice time at the lodge in the Lake District. Unfortunately Neil had to leave on the Sunday night cos he had to go to work all week. We were hoping that he might be able to come back for the end of the week at least but he couldn't. J also went back with him so it was just R and I which was nice. We chilled out, read, watched tv, watched the squirrel and the birds. Neil came Wed night to stay over for one night and was to go back to work next nday but R and I decided to come back with him. The lodge was gorgeous and relaxing.
Neil outside the lodge
The kids reading
Beautiful windows/view of the garden - we watched the birds and the squirrel.
Little shopping mall at Penrith where we went for the day on Saturday. It was lovely traipsing round the shops
The walk up to the lodge was very pretty.

Me relaxing with a nice cup of tea
View to the kitchen

J actually looking very Lost In Thought!
A big old blackbird I snapped on the bird table in the garden, and I took this from inside the lodge - good eh!
The little red squirrel that was often in the garden
Lovely to sit in the chair and watch all the birds and the squirrels
Walk down the lanes, Neil and I went for a nice long walk on the Saturday.
R at the Whitbarrow leisure village on the Sunday, we had just been swimming - it was really nice there
R reading (as usual!). We had lovely breakfasts together Mon. Tue and Wed mornings. I made a pot of coffee each morning and we sat and had breakfast early mornings.

I wish that Neil and J had been able to stay for the whole week. I am hoping that we may be able to go back there sometime, it would be lovely. It's a pity that I don't drive cos the remaining days that R and I were there we were not able to go out as such, the lanes were a bit too lonely for just R and I to go walking. But, all in all we did enjoy our stay at the lodge - it was so nice there and SO relaxing and pretty.

Friday 10th April

Am in the middle of painting the front room, have done all but the far alcove. It is now a buttercream yellow! I have not bought any Easter Eggs yet, I am hoping there are still some left in the shops tomorrow. The shop ususally have hundreds of them until a day before when suddenly they all disappear!
Neil doing the 'high' bits in the alcove, I could not reach!
Almost finished the painting - Oooohhhh look R on the couch - reading! I love just how much she reads. She likes fantasy and adventure. She is mostly reading books aimed at 'teens'. Last night she bought Twilight, the film. Though we have watched it about 5 times!
A rare appearance by J.

Ok, I have not eaten healthily lately. - ice-cream, burger with fries, cake and so on. I have been fairly active mainly due to moving the living room furniture around and painting - but that is all. Oh I did do 20 minutes on the Wii Fit today also.
I feel that if I want to be slimmer for the summer then I had better get moving. Tomorrow I will aim to go on the treadmill and get that going again (regular).
Plans for tomorrow
Me, Neil and R off to Opticians to get R's new glasses
Then we shall call at Gordale for a look round
Then we shall pop to mum n dads in Flint for a visit.
J is not coming as he has a girl calling round (ex-girlfriend)

Saturday 11th April

It looks lovely out there today, nice and sunny.8.30am and time to get up.

R got her new glasses. We didn't get to Gordale but we did get to mum n dads. Caught sight of myself in large mirror in mums. OMG how BIG do I look..........................bloody depressed me.
Cannot stand living in leggings (the worst style item ever invented, for grown-ups anyway). WHEN yes when I lose this weight I am going to burn said leggings and and going to bin all clothing that is black. Although I like to be 'goth' from time to time, black is not my fave colour.
Did not manage to go on treadmill today, too lazy, it got too late.

Am reading 50 Ways to Find a Lover - at least it's making me laugh!

I feel like a failure. It's now been 351 days since I had sex. That's a carnal drought. If Bob Geldof knew about it he'd hold a concert. Sarah Sargeant has been single for three years and nine months. She has just spent five months plucking up the courage to ask out a balding man with a paunch who works in her local pub. The gentleman in question informed her that he would rather stay in and watch the "Narnia" movie on DVD. Her pride has not just been bruised, it's been disembowelled. And she vows it's the last time she will ever reach out to a member of the opposite sex. But her family and friends have other ideas. They enter her into a reality TV show against her will, persuade her to go speed dating and even more radically, they encourage her to start a blog. Suddenly Sarah Sargeant is on a mission. A mission to explore 50 ways to find a lover.

Neil and R on the walk
We really enjoyed our walk and would have walked further except that we didn't have any drinks on us and it was quite warm. We are going to go out tomorrow too.
Hair is slightly odd colour as nicked a but of J's fluorescent yellow hair colour!
Have no idea what it might look like in the daylight!!!!!!!
