Monday 9th March to Sunday 15th March 2009

This week I am going to go on the treadmill for half an hour every day

Monday 9th March

Weight - 10 st 7 lbs (147 lbs)
I braved the scales, same old thing, weight is the same as it ever was, damn!
How did I do last week with 3 healthy meals a day and healthier snacks? Well...not so great really, about half and half I'd say. This week am going to still aim for the 3 healthy meals a day+better snacks and also I am going to aim to do half an hour on the treadmill every day.

Feck, we have a mouse (or mice) in the house. Part of me thinks oh whatever, you live in a countryside area, what do you expect? Another part of me AGRHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHGH and scream and shudder and OH CRAP. Last time we had these little visitors in the house we got humane traps and Neil had to take the little buggers for a ride in the car down the road each morning to a nice big field. Yep, we caught LOADS of them. I was beginning to wonder if they were telling each other this was a good house to come to cos you got to go on holiday!
Then I'm afraid to say we did resort to eventually, for my sanity as I could not cope with sightings of mouse poop. Urghghghg.
Excuse me while I go disinfect the house.......................

My friend Judith came round for a coffee which was nice.
R wanted to look like a Vampire! So we messed around with a pic of her on a web site for altering photos. I think this looks pretty cool!
R and I last night, she was wearing a bit a 'vampy' make up so I could do some pics of her - she's a sweetie pie really!Earlier I made watercress soup - it was yummy.
2 pacs of organic watercress
1 onion
Few cloves garlic
Olive oil
3 or 4 potatoes
Water
Veg stock cube
I also added a tiny bit of ginger, or you could add corriander?

Sweat the onion, potato, oil and garlic for a short time. Add 2 pints or so of water, add the water cress. Simmer until potatoes are soft, then liquidise in a food blender - add some pepper. MMmmmm.......

 Wednesday 11th March

Work was ok, After work I saw one of the consultants, I got my eyes dilated and he had a look at them. I have to be booked in for a fluroscein (dye to be injected so they can take pics of the back of my eye). Then he will decided what to do next? I am very lucky to be seen this quickly.
SO far I have been on the treadmill for half an hour Monday and Tuesday nights and I plan on going on it for half an hour just now, though it is late (almost 10pm) and really I don't feel like it, but I will make the effort. After I got home from work at 1pm I actually went to sleep for a few hours as I did not feel so great - tired more than anything I think?
I also must make an effort and get back to dancing as I have not done that for quite a number of weeks.

 Thursday 12th March

Almost 8am, am getting picked up for work soon. It's Audit day today (so no patients). I did manage to do half an hour last night. I am quite pleased with ,myself that so far this week I have kept to it. I am aiming to do faster/longer, train for the Race For Life. I am doing it with 3 others from our office and we are going to start meeting up once or twice a week to train also - I am lucky too that I have the treadmill at home. I am really looking forward to it.

Watched Elvira (Haunted Hills) last night. She makes me laugh so much, I think she's brill!

Work was fine today - a long day though. I have eaten ok today and I am planning on going on the treadmill for half a hour later.
Arghghg. Kids are downstairs playing music (too loud) and it's not even 6.30pm so too early for bed for them - I WANT SOME PEACE. It's at times like this I wish we had a BIG house, then I could send them off the the North Wing or something!!!!!

YEAH - I managed to do the half hour on the treadmill, so that's 4 nights in a row. Next week I increase it to 45 minutes. Eating healthier and doing regular exercise has GOT to start me losing those lbs.

2004, how nice and slim was I....wanna be this slim again NOW!
Time for sleep, it is now almost 11pm. Work tomorrow.

Friday 13th March (Also Red Nose Day)

 Saturday 14th March

Did 2 hours dancing last night at Thornton Hough and really enjoyed it. I have to take in my £10 deposit next week for the Hayling Island trip on 6th to 9th November - I am so going to look forward to that.
We are looking forward to our week at the Lodge near Penrith (Cumbria). Neil may have to go into work for a few of the days though, but the kids and I will stay at the lodge.
J had a sight tests today and got new glasses, he has a very low power lens though (-0.25 and a -0.50).........and he says he only has to wear them at college sometimes. J then went off to BHead with his friends, then apparently they all caught the bus to West Kirby and when I phoned him just now they were on the train back to BHead!
Neil, R and I wandered round a few charity shops that's about all we've done today.
Neil lost 3 lbs this week, well done! I will get weighed Mon morning.
I am having my fluroscein done on Thursday orning then seeing the consultant afterwards.

 Sunday 15th March

Uneventful day. J and Neil had rehersal which they said went really well (with Tony and Chris). R and I chilled out, well, I did some cleaning in the house, that's about it really.
I did not manage a full half hr on the treadmill last night (too late too tired). Am going to do half hr later and that means I have been on the treadmill every night for a whole week!
