Monday 2nd March to Sunday 8th March 2009

This week I will aim to eat 3 healthy meals a day and healthy snacks (fruit and yogurt)

MONDAY 2nd MARCH
I am going to make a sort of promise to myself at the start of each week and aim to stick to it. This week as you can see I am going to aim for 3 healthy meals a day with healthy snacks. I am therefore going to avoid bad food choices and picking/bingeing.
OK, 9pm and how did I do today? Well..........
Breakfast - 2 weetabix and skim milk
Lunch - Mince with gravy and lots of veg, then a toasted tea-cake
Tea - Low fat sausage and veg stir fry then low fat yogurt
Eve - Handful of M&M.s (peanuts)
Well, could've done without the M&M's but other than that I did ok. Need to stock up on fruit, though I so have some raspberries and blueberries in the freezer. So....tomorrow I do better!!
End of today - PRETTY GOOD!
Tuesday 3rd March 2009
In work today all day. Will take healthy lunch in.
Wed 4th March
Work was fine today, we are getting a new uniform (us techies, there's 3 of us in the department). Anyway, we are going back to the white tunic which is nice ( we wear a turquoise t-shirt at the moment, black trousers). The white tunic and black trouser is so much smarter.
Have not been that good on food lately - had an urge for CHOCOLATE

Have given in and had chocolate (last night). Tried to eat better today (ok had one snack size aero ok!!!!!!!
I rode R's bike to school, it was fun! She rode it home. Other than that, same old thing - nothing exciting to report.
Actually apart from small bar of aero I ate well today
Breakfast - 2 wholemeal toast
Lunch - Egg sandwich and glass skim milk
Anoon - ok chocolate aero
Tea - Stir fry pork with lots of peppers and onion and a low fat yogurt with fresh raspberries
Pretty good yes? I think so!

THAT'S BRILLIANT! See I can do it!
There's about 5 of us (or more) from our office at work that are going to be doing the Race For Life which is fantastic, I am so looking forward to it.
J said he is going to do the Wirral Walk with me in May (it's a fifteen miles coastline walk which I did for the 1st time last year)
. Yippeeeeee. HE asked "How fast do I think I can do it"? I can see he is going to push me into doing it as fast as I can!!!!!!!!! YIKES!
I had better get training!

I want some of this. It's by Benefit and it costs £22.50 (my sister got some and I love the stuff, I tried some at her house). It's just the sort of blusher I want. It gives lips and cheeks a rosy glow. That's next on my list of things to buy me for a treat (from me!).

OOOOhhhhhhhh have my name down for another line dance weekend, it's not till November 6th and it's in a place called Hayling Island (never heard of it)."......Hayling Island is a true island, completely surrounded by natural watercourses at all states of the tide. Looking at its north to south orientation, it is shaped like an inverted T, about 6.5 kilometres (4 miles) long and 6.5 kilometres wide. A road bridge connects its northern end to the mainland of England. A small passenger ferry connects it to the neighbouring island of Portsea where the city of Portsmouth is located. To the west is Langstone Harbour and to the east is Chichester Harbour."

It's part of Hampshire apparently?
Here's a review of the place we are staying
Mill Rythe is a well-known 3 star quality holiday resort that offers a superb range of facilities and services situated in the attractive county of Hampshire on the sunny south coast. Mill Rythe has been hosting guests and visitors since 1938 and continues to be one of the longest surviving original UK holiday destinations.Generations of holidaymakers have come here year after year for the peace and relaxation that are the hallmarks of Hayling Island. Mill Rythe Holiday Resort is located on over 30 acres of grounds set back into the quiet shores of Hayling Island meaning there's plenty of space to escape, relax and enjoy your holiday away from the hussle and bussle of the real world. For most of the year, Mill Rythe is exclusively for adults. Families are welcome during the main school holiday periods and we offer a variety of children's clubs to cater for most age groups.A wide range of themed breaks and professional cabaret acts are presented throughout the year here at Mill Rythe and we pride ourselves on the quality of acts such as Slade, Jane McDonald, Union Gap, The Drifters and many many more!!
WOW lokk at the indoor pool there!

Sat 7th March

Neil picked J and I up from mum n dads (we spent last night there). J wanted some of his guitars altered so my dad did that. R had a sleepover last night and is now home, she had a great time. J has now gone to BHead with a girlfriend.

Gotta blitz the house.

Wot do you think? Hmmmm.....kinda liked it when I was doing it (stuck on TONS of little sparkly jewels). Was very quick painting it to begin with! Have hung it in the bedroom which has touvhes of pink in it (ie curtains). MMmmmm.....don't really like it now, it kind of looks a bit errrrr....naff. Thought about adding some pale blues onto it? Dunno, will have to think about that? Ah well, kept me amused for a while, gave me something a little bit creative to do.
Still don't like it though.

Food today, how did I do?
Breakfast - 3 ww toast
Lunch - SOme chips from the chippy
Tea - Homemade potato wedges, stur fry turkey and veg and a diet yogurt
So far so good. I am going to relax tonight with a few glasses of white wine and a film but I am not going to eat anything as am trying to keep morning blood glucose levels down. I have so got to keep them under 10 at all times.
Am still waiting to see when I may need the lazer treatment on my right eye, I think I shall see the Consultant on Tuesday and see what he says.Am a bit worried I suppose. I know I have lost some central vision in my left eye, I have some macula oedema there but the right eye is the one I am worried about as it has some bleeding there (diabetic retinopathy). Am being positive, mostly.

Sunday 8th March 2009

Neil and J have gone to the rehearsal studio today. I had a nice long lie in. R and I are now going to do her bedroom. R has been writing stories all morning.
Am going to make an attempt at counting calories again. I was on the Nutracheck site which cost about £6 per month but have stopped that - I need a good free UK cal counting site so if anyone has one, let me know.Ta.
